On March 12th 2025 H. Frank Carey had their first Freshman vs Sophomore Sports Night Showdown! The night was filled with lots of fun and various sport events from a scooter race, to a tug of war. The students made their big entrances with festive music, and cheers to hype them up. The night started off with various fun activities for the student’s teams to compete in, starting with a hula hoop race, getting the hula hoop all the way around the group. The night offered opportunities for the students to work together, use their sportsmanship and their teamwork to succeed in challenges. The teammates came up with motivational chants to encourage players while they compete. Lots of people came to watch and see this sports night showdown happen. For the grand finale the freshmen and sophomores had some very suspenseful games of tug of war and the unwavering motivation was shown on every single player’s face while the other teammates and the crowd watched and encouraged the teams!
It’s the moments and the memories like these in school that we will cherish for a lifetime! Everyone enjoyed the night had a great time. Both teams had plenty of victories during the games and the sophomore team took the win for the finale tug of war! Everyone was a winner for enjoying the night, having fun and working together! The most valuable prize was getting to see the joy and happiness expressed by everyone! These are never to forget experiences of enjoyment, laughter, determination and happiness.
