On March 10th 2025 H. Frank Carey High School hosted their annual College Fair. The college fair has been held every year for the past 3 years to encourage 7th grade students to take a deeper look into different colleges. The college fair was represented by H. Frank Carey’s National Honor Society members. A big thanks to Mrs. McCallum and Mrs. Catapano for helping coordinate the college fair and making it happen because it has been such a success. Additionally, a big thanks for providing a delicious bagel breakfast for the representatives of the college fair as well! The college fair requires the National Honor Society members to research two particular schools and they will then be college admission representatives for the day where the 7th grade students will meet each representative of the two colleges and ask specific questions about each school. This year the college fair was able to introduce 120 different post graduate schools to the students. Furthermore, the National Honor Society received an abundance of awesome merchandise representing different colleges. The fair was able to introduce numerous different colleges to the students of which were interested and curious, as they asked questions about the colleges to receive more information about them. The 7th grade students and the National Honor Society representatives both enjoyed experiencing the college fair. It was a great opportunity for students to start researching colleges that they might want to attend in the future and also gain knowledge about different schools which is a key step as they prepare to plan for their own future college applications. For the national honor society students, this was an experience that broadened their knowledge of colleges as well, for which they researched different types to inform students at the fair! H. Frank Carey has done it before and did it again with a very successful college fair which enriched their student’s knowledge of colleges!
