Our planet is an amazing place and today we say happy birthday to our planet of 4.543 billion years! On Earth Day April 22nd 2025 we celebrate and show our love to our planet. Dating back to the 70s, in 1970 the first earth day was celebrated! Starting in the state of Wisconsin in the United States initiated by senator Nelson being inspired from an oil spill to now growing to become a holiday being celebrated worldwide and around the globe! Some things you might not have known about earth are: The First Earth Day inspired an environmental movement which was the uprising of The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). According to the Earth Day Network in 1990 the holiday went global with over 141 countries and 200 million participants! Additionally today is a day where it can be seen as an opportunity to reflect our care of the planet! Our impact on the world matters! To show our care to the environment one major thing we can do to help out the environment is recycling! Benefits to recycling include saving energy, and helps protect wildlife and ecosystems! So today is the day that we appreciate and celebrate, the birthday of the ground we walk on, our planet. Happy Birthday to our planet Earth! For being 4.543 billion years old!
