On Friday, November 29, the Carey Seahawks traveled back to Hofstra to face Half Hollow Hills East Red Hawks in the Long Island Football Championship. Last week, they beat Mepham to win the Nassau County championship, but now they’re looking to win the Long Island championship.

Carey would receive the kickoff to start off the game. The kickoff would land in the end zone for a touchback, starting the drive at the 20 yard line. On 1st down, Chris Obertis would complete a pass to Michael Vederosa to get 8 yards. On 2nd and 2, Christian Todaro would get a handoff for 6 yards and a 1st down. On 1st down, they would hand the ball off to Justin DiPietro for 3 yards. On 2nd and 7, Billy Koutsoumbaris would receive a pass for 4 yards, leading to a 3rd and 3 on the 41 yard line. On 3rd down, they would hand it off to Justin DiPietro, but they would get no yardage. They would decide to punt it on 4th down, landing at the 23 yard line.
